Arcane Scenery and Model Supplies presents:
Animals and Beasts for Wargaming and Fantasy RPG Games
Phorusrhacids, colloquially known as terror birds, are an extinct clade of large carnivorous flightless birds that were the largest species of apex predators in South America during the Cenozoic era; their temporal range covers from 62 to 1.8 million years (Ma) ago.
They ranged in height from 1–3 metres (3.3–9.8 ft) tall.
Phorusrhacids may have even made their way into Africa; the genus Lavocatavis was recently discovered in Algeria, but its status as a true phorusrhacid is questioned. A possible European form, Eleutherornis, has also been identified, suggesting that this group had a wider geographical range in the Paleogene
The model is approximately 65mm long and stands 58mm tall! It is supplied in kit form with separate legs and a base. We would recommend using Expo thick super glue to assemble the model.
1 model per pack.
Models are supplied unassembled and unpainted and will require basing.
Any other figures shown in the gallery pictures are for comparison purposes only. If you have any questions, please contact me before purchasing the item.
Please note that these models are made of metal or resin and they are not suitable for children. They have sharp points and may be harmful if they are chewed or swallowed.
This DeeZee model is part of a range of animals that are nominally 28mm scale but will be on the larger size as they represent animals from the ice age or beyond.
The DeeZee range has been designed specifically for war games hobby. Of course, they are superb models in their own right and can be used as display pieces, in historical dioramas and are ideal for Role Playing Games, Fantasy and Sci-fi gaming.
If you need glue for your models, I sell Revell Contacta Adhesive, Revell Professional polystyrene glue and a range of super glues and other adhesives. They can be found in the ‘Arcane scenery’ and ‘Glues, Fillers, Paints and Tools’ categories of my shop.
